Little Loggers Race Day Details

The Little Loggers Trail Fest is an event geared towards getting kids ages 12 and under outdoors and giving them opportunities to try the sport of trail running. The PA Trail Dogs and ReVibe Gear have teamed up to offer this event free of charge for all the kids. We are working on providing some other kids' activities along with the 5K run so stay tuned.

The course will be about 2.75 miles long with a few small hills for the kids to challenge themselves. There may be some small stream crossings, depending on amount of rain in June. The course will be well-flagged and staffed with volunteers to guide the racers. There will be one aid station at the halfway point. No runners will be out there alone at any point. Parents/Guardians are allowed to run with their kids if needed but should not sign themselves up for the event. If for some reason a parent can't run but still wants someone to be with their child, we may be able to offer a "pacer" to run with them. We will have a lunch for the kids after the race along with other activities.

Registration is free but all kids must have a signed waiver by a parent or guardian. Registration ends on June 1st or if we reach the 350 runner cut-off. There will be no day-of registration, so make sure you sign up in advance!

Bib pickup & directions

The Little Loggers Trail Fest starts and finishes at the Western Clinton Sportmen's Association (WCSA) and is located in the most scenic region of Pennsylvania. (Note: WCSA mailing address is different than actual location for those trying to use online maps.) Just look for Hyner...that's all you need!!

Since Hyner is a remote area, find Lock Haven and use this as your reference. There is one road leading out of Lock Haven towards Hyner...this is route 120 West. Starting from Lock Haven University, follow 120 West for about twenty miles. The WCSA is on the left and there will be a large “Little Loggers Trail Fest” sign. Follow the road up to the club. You’ll be directed to the back of the WCSA club for parking, and bib pickup will be at the pavilion.

Please take the time to print out directions and study the map before you head out.  Cell phone service is extremely limited/non-existent in the area and it is very remotely populated.

There will be no day-of registration. Bib pickup will begin at 8:30 am under the pavilion. Make sure you give yourselves plenty of time to park, pick up your child’s swag, and make a few friends before the race begins!
